Plagiarisme Checking

The Editorial Board of MEBIS: Jurnal Manajemen dan Bisnis firmly upholds the principles of academic integrity and strictly prohibits any form of plagiarism. In order to maintain the quality and credibility of the journal, the following policy outlines the actions and sanctions that will be imposed should plagiarism be identified in a submitted manuscript.

Authors are required to ensure that their manuscripts are free from plagiarism prior to submission. MEBIS strongly advises authors to conduct an independent similarity check using reputable plagiarism detection software before submitting their work. In addition, all manuscripts that pass the initial screening and are accepted for publication will undergo a further plagiarism check conducted by the Editorial Team using iThenticate and Turnitin prior to publication.

All manuscripts submitted to MEBIS must be original works. They must not have been previously published, either in whole or in part, and must not be under consideration for publication in any other journal at the time of submission.

The journal applies the following plagiarism policy:

  1. The maximum acceptable similarity index for manuscripts submitted to MEBIS is 25%, provided that all similarities are properly cited.
  2. In cases where minor plagiarism is identified, such as the use of short sentences without proper citation, the author will receive a formal warning and be required to revise the manuscript and provide appropriate references.
  3. In cases where large portions of another work are reproduced without proper acknowledgment, the manuscript will be immediately rejected.

If it is discovered that an author has submitted the same manuscript to MEBIS while it is simultaneously under review by another journal, whether during the review process or after publication, the Editorial Board will take corrective action in accordance with point 2 above, and any published article will be formally withdrawn.

For any acts of plagiarism not explicitly covered in the provisions above, the Editorial Board of MEBIS reserves the full right to determine and impose appropriate sanctions in accordance with the journal’s ethical standards and editorial policies.
